  • I think at this point it's time to consider charge backs. Sony won't refund and Bungie has been radio silent on tickets for over a week. It sucks because I enjoyed the game, and would have continued to support it, but after this fiasco there's no way. I think I'll try Playstation support one more time asking for a refund but if not, I think I'll go the charge back route.

  • I did just receive a message from Bungie support earlier today in response to my support ticket that I submitted. They just asked if I was still experiencing this issue. I said I was, so I'm hopeful they can get this sorted out soon. But it's been weeks of complete silence, and Playstation is basically just saying to work it out with Bungie.

  • My Playstation account was just suspended for submitting a chargeback. Christ, dude. This is so awful.

    I have heard of that happening to people in the past, so even though I was considering doing the same, I've held off and still trying to get Bungie to help me. 

    I hope you can get it sorted out with Playstation. They are at fault in this whole thing too. It was their store, and we purchased a product that we never received.

  • Playstation showed no remorse. Apparently I “played the game” after I purchased it. Playing = me opening the trial version and being locked out. Very cool.

    I need to purchase a gift card to pay my “debt” and unlock my account.

    Screw Bungie for this for real.

  • Damn, that's wild man. You purchased a product that you didn't receive. Sony should make it right, or at the very least issue a refund. They aren't issuing you refund for the actual game, because you never received the game, only the deluxe content ( that can't even be accessed without owning the game). Just changing the product someone purchased after the fact can't be legal. It's just crazy that it's been nearly 3 weeks and this whole thing still hasn't been solved. 

    This whole situation has been beyond frustrating. For being a relatively large company, their customer service isn't great. Playstation support has been worthless too. 

    I received a response from Bungie to my support ticket yesterday finally, but still haven't gotten things sorted out. At this point it's looking unlikely, and I'm not sure how much more time I want to dedicate to it. If I can't get access to the game by this weekend, I'm not sure I even want to play anymore anyways. 

    This could have been a way for Bungie to get a lot of new players excited about the game, and likely end up getting friends to buy the game too. It was a big mistake to begin with, but then the way they have handled it since has been even worse. It's really ruined the game and experience for many people. From the looks of things, the game could use all the help it can get. So not sure why they didn't handle this whole ordeal with a bit more urgency, and at least offer some better communication along the way. It's really a shame because I was starting to have a lot of fun with the game.

    My friend convinced me to download Marathon during the trial period and I really fell in love with it. I was excited to pay for it and keep playing. It's not worth this headache, though. The ball has been dropped, and this experience has marred it indelibly.

  • Just an FYI to everyone that sees this, if you purchesed during the trial week and still havent received the game, you wont be getting it. Both playstation support and bungie support flat out said that anyone and everyone who has been affected has been properly compensated. Its a blatant lie, but I pushed back for almost 2 full weeks to poth playstation support and bungie support and both said to go to the other until finally bungie said I wasnt eligible to receive a game code becuase my purchase was HOURS after that tweet from one of the developers. Ive talked to other people in the same boat, I know a single person that got a copy of the game and they purchased it on the 2nd. Seams like anyone that purchesed on the 3rd or after are SOL. Bungie is currently experiencing massive layoffs aswell as a number of other issues so this is probably the end of the situation. They successfully swept it under the rug. I say good to the layoffs. Ill be happy to see the studio close after how they've destroyed any good will with their comunity and fired almost all their real talent years ago. Fuck bungie. Sorry to anyone like myself who's money is just lost in the void now. PLEASE protest with your wallet and boycott this shitty company so they go under sooner rather than later and cant fuck over more people. Bungie has been dead for years, dont feel bad or grasp onto nostalgia. Get angry. The state of the industry is a joke and we all just go along with it. If your seeing this, spent money on the game and dont have access. Make your voice heard, plaster your experience everywhere and make sure to let others know. This is wrong, and theres no longer anything we can do about this situation but warn others.
