Twitch Drops and Account Linking issue.

I have yet to be sent my twitch drops from both the slam and launch events. However when I went to check my account linking there was an issue that stated I could not link my accounts due to an error, yet I got an email saying the account was linked despite not putting in my Twitch information.

    Hi there,

    Thank you for the report.

We are aware of the issue with this Twitch Drop and are investigating to resolve this as soon as possible.

If you have not already, please view our help page for Twitch Drops to verify that you have linked your account correctly.

    Also, please note:

Players should be advised that in order to participate in Marathon Twitch Drops, they'll need to ensure that their Bungie account is successfully connected to their Twitch account no less than 12 hours prior to the start of any Marathon Twitch Drop event. If a player connects any later, it cannot be guaranteed that their connection will be active in time for the scheduled Twitch Drop event.

  • Following up on this as I have still not been granted the items or assistance on the initial issue.

  • Hi there,

    Thank you for the update.

Can you share a screenshot of the error message that you get when you try to link your Twitch account to your Bungie profile?

    • Go to https://www.bungie.net/ and sign in with the Platform account you use for Marathon.
    • Navigate to Profile > Settings > Account Linking.
    • Check that:
      • Twitch is listed and Linked.
      • The Twitch name shown here matches the account where the drops were claimed.
      • If it looks wrong:
      • Unlink Twitch, save.
      • Log out of Bungie.net.
      • Log back in and link Twitch again from the Account Linking page

  • This is the error I am getting currently, however the first time it said that the link failed and when I went to retry, it shows this. It is currently showing me as not having a linked account.

  • Hi there,

    Thank you for the screenshot.

That error message means that either a Twitch account is already linked to that Bungie.net account or you are trying to a Twitch account that is already linked to a different Bungie.net account.

You can find out what Twitch account is linked to a Bungie.net account by checking the following:

    • On bungie.net → Settings → Account Linking, see if Twitch is already linked.
    • On twitch.tv → Settings → Connections, see if there’s an existing Bungie/Marathon/Destiny connection and disconnect it.
    • Make sure you are signing into the correct Bungie account before trying again.
