Can't "Tab Into" Marathon after unfocusing window

Pretty much just the title. Decided to try the server slam off a whim and tabbed out during the EULA acceptance segment. Clicking on the taskbar icon or using Alt+Tab didn't work to refocus the window. Come on Bungie, you're not using Source engine.
