Duo mode
Hello Bungie team,
It is necessary to once again bring up something that the community has taken issue with for a long time: a duo mode across all non-cryo maps or at minimum shorten the map change time.
It makes no sense or downside for it to remain restrained to a single map whilst other queues have full access. Many players want to play consistently as a duo for wherever their missions send them without depending on daily rotations which hinder the player experience. For example solo players may convince a friend to buy Marathon, only for their first games on to be constantly at a disadvantage as perimeter, where most starter missions are isn't on duo queue, so they have to deal with random matchmakers that want to do their own thing, or put themselves at a disadvantage further and run duo in trio lobbies. This directly affects the coop pool with the current player base size and makes it harder to get smaller friend groups involved, because it simply doesn’t offer a consistent way to progress missions and other activities as a duo compared to other queues. Ignoring this only means continuing to lose part of the player base.
It is also important to remember that in Europe many different languages are spoken, not just English. When you are matched with a random player who doesn’t speak your language, or you don’t understand theirs, communication within the squad breaks down and the overall experience becomes noticeably worse.
We are asking for this feedback to be taken seriously and for a more accessible route as soon as possible.
