Game crashes after when connecting to matchmaking.

Hello,

This is an odd one.  This bug popped up in season 2.  There is a tell when the animation pauses halfway through the map selection screen.  After hitting run the screen goes black.  Sometimes I get to loading contracts screen then the game fully crashes.  A full reinstall solves this issue for an irregular amount of time, until eventually the same bug pops up.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the report.

    Sorry to hear this keeps coming back.

    Could you please try the following:

    • Close the game and reset your graphics settings by deleting cvars.xml. This has been a known recovery step for players who get stuck in a black-screen state.
    • Launch the game and make sure DLSS Frame Generation is turned off. 
    • If you can reach the video settings, keep render resolution below 150%. 
    • If possible, avoid opening Contracts while matchmaking.
    • Make sure the game is fully updated on Steam

    If the issue still happens after that, please send:

    • Your GPU model
    • Whether DLSS Frame Generation was enabled
    • Whether this happens when interacting with Contracts or just after map selection
    • A DxDiag report. You can copy and paste it over on PasteBin and provide us with the link.
