Items in my Vault (not backpack) are getting deleted.

It seems my items in my vault are disappearing when I comeback from an unsuccessful exfil. I am aware I loose my backpack items- but my vault items? What’s the point I’d like to pick and choose when to use my best gear when going in my missions. Please look into this.
