Game runs really bad/weirdly on my laptop, while clearing almost all recommended specs.

I own an about 2 year old Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 15arh7. It has a Ryzen 5 6600h, a 4gb Geforce RTX 3050, and 16 gigabytes of ram. I should be on par if not above the recommended hardware required for Marathon, but even after using DDU and reinstalling all my graphics drivers, the game is stuck on the 50-60fps range on both the "lowest" and "high" graphics preset.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Unfortunately, laptops are not officially supported currently.

Please see our Marathon Storage and System Requirements guide to double-check that your system meets the current minimum specs, though you may still encounter technical difficulties while playing on a laptop that meets the minimum specs.

  • Heavy bump.

I'm running similar laptop specs (playing on an M.2 SSD, GeForce RTX 3050 6 GB, 16 GB DDR5 RAM, and a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12450H) and the game runs at 60 frames per second at best.

I am also using NVIDIA's DLSS, so the game runs at 960x540 and scales in low graphic settings to 1920x1080. I don't like the artifacts caused by AI upscaling. It doesn't look good in game with particles on screen like rain and fog. Even then, it's the only playable option for me.

  • Bungie, what kind of response is this? A PC setup is still a PC setup regardless of whether its a desktop or laptop configuration, having "no support for laptops" is outrageous and my specs do in fact clear minimum by a mile. This is basically a spit in the face.
