Unable to log in when using the Proton compatibility layer
I'm unable to log in into the game when running using the Proton compatibility layer.
I get a message saying that Marathon servers are not available, when they are. I also get the W:12:00000057 error.

Thanks for reaching out! The game currently requires the Windows 10 64-bit OS or higher for PC users per our Marathon Storage and System Requirements guide.
Other operating systems are not supported at this time, but we recommend sharing your interest in seeing Linux compatibility to one of the following channels on our official Discord for the best visibility:

After playing a little on PS5 I was not interested, finally booted back to Windows to play some on PC and enjoyed it enough to come back a few more times. If Bungie could see to supporting BattlEye in Proton it'd be another sale, as it is I dont feel like booting to Windows for just this game right now. Would be good for SteamDeck and future SteamMachine users too
