Sad about cross save / account linking

Hi,

I'm expressing my disappointment in how cross save is working as a long term player.

I've played D2 on PC and PS, I've now clocked 230 hours on PS5 in Marathon and was ready to start playing on PC. But due to the limitations in how account linking works I'm not able to continue my progress I've already made on PS5. It feels very unfair that because somewhere in 2014 and 2017 I've created two accounts that I'm now unable to play with my character/skins/items on PC.

Timeline:

2014: Make tns2k7 account, play D2
2017: Come back, play more D2
2026 March: Come back, play Marathon on PS5
2026 August: Bought Marathon a 2nd time to play on PC, cannot play my character, because Steam was linked to a third account?
