Error rutabega- Forced into tutorial that I cant do, so cant change settings

I am playing the game for the first time, and when I start the game it forces me to start the tutorial mission. However I am getting the time skew/rutabega error and it tells me to adjust my settings. There is no settings menu for me to change anything, and from what Ive been told, I have to finish the tutorial (which I cannot start) before I can access settings.

  • Hi, thank you for the quick response. Im not sure what you would like for a screenshot. Taking a screen recoridng would only kill my gpu more. I will describe the issue

    -I start the game
-Title screen comes on, prompting "click to continue"
    -get taken to loading screen
-game loads for a couple of minutes
-Starts the animation about loading contract
-midanimation, it lags, then goes to black screen for a few seconds, then gives the "Time skew" and throws error "rutabega"

  • Its been one week since I've gotten any response, which I replied to immediately. This is a serious issue and needs to be addressed. The fact of the matter is this game forces you into a tutorial before you are able to even access the settings, which is especially problematic not only for people in my situation, but also for those that require changing settings for accessibility reasons. I can see zero reason where players should be so immediately thrown into a tutorial before being able to at least access settings.

  • Hello again,

Apologies for the delay in our response. Before we have a closer look, if you haven't already, can you make sure that all of your drivers, BIOS, and Windows are all up to date? If the issue persists, can you try verifying your game file integrity through Steam? Lastly, if the issue again continues to occur, can you try uninstalling and reinstalling the game?

If you continue to have issue or you've tried all of this already, please let us know.

  • Everything is up to date. I have been having to play through other means because of this. Please stop forcing people to do the tutorial mission immediately, let players access the settings before. Not only because of this issue (Which seems to be because the settings were set to maximum from launch and my pc cannot handle that) But because players that need accessibility settings available before even starting a game should be able to see what their options are.
