UESC killed me in exfil after I was downed

Did a guarded exfil on outpost in a solo run and the last UESC downed me. He started to use the cables, but I had 5 seconds left til exfil. Instead, he switched over to his LMG and killed me in the exfil. Is this a new mechanic or just a bug? It seems strange that he would switch to shooting me after alreafy having the cables on me. This happened just now at 1:20 p.m. pst, June 4th.

This was on Playstation 5

UESC killed me with an LMG after already using his cables.

Roughly 1:20 PST on June 4th, 2026

I was downed, either in the exfil or close to it, i was in the exfil, the UESC that downed me started to use their cables to finish me. I started to self revive with a depleted self revive. The UESC then started shooting at me. I stopped the revive it continued to shoot me and I dies in the exfil with 2 or 3 seconds left. My kill screen also showed that I was killed by the UESC commander, without player damage.

The same thing would occasionally happen to me Season 1. It felt kind of like a rare "you fucked up" behavior more than a bug.
