Game selling wrong item/delayed sell input

Went to sell a white volt thrower I had in my vault. After letting go of F and starting to move my mouse towards armory i hovered over a prestige upgrade material for not even .2 seconds and it instantly sold it. The weapon was not sold and why is there not a "are you sure you want to sell your SYNAPSE CUBES"
