Black Screen on Startup
Platform - Steam
Description of Issue - Opens battle eye launcher as normal, then opens Marathon window. Marathon window is fully black, but full screen. After about a second, the discord overlay shows up as normal but the screen is still black. Trying to close the app does not work, I have to close it in task manager. I have been able to play the game normally until this bug.
My Specs - Radeon 9070, i5-12600kf, 32gb ddr4 ram, SSD
What I've tried:
- Closing and reopening
- Verifying files
- Restarting PC
- Disabling overlays
- Enabling "Disable Fullscreen Optimizations"
Rough Date and Time of issue - 10/27/26 to today

We are aware of players reporting this issue and are investigating.
If you haven't already, please try rolling back your AMD driver back to 26.9.2. Players have reported that this has allowed them to play the game again after encountering a black screen at start up.
