Frame generation option bug
My gpu is intel arc b580, so I use xess frame generation to boost my fps. However, it usually only works in the lobby. Once I enter a match, it stops improving my fps. I have to go into the settings, turn frame generation off and apply the changes, then switch back to xess frame generation. Only then does it actually work.

Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out and for reporting this.
Could you grab a short video showing this happening in game? Please use your platform's capture button to take the video. You can upload the footage to a public video hosting site, like YouTube, then post the link here, and we’ll be glad to take a look.
Here’s my video: https://youtu.be/Hf9CfI3wO5M?si=B5XLgqN2DtsSfkLR
As you can see, my fps is around 100 when I first enter the match, even though XeSS frame generation is enabled. I then go into the settings, turn it off and back on, and my fps jumps to around 160.
Hello again,
Thank you for sharing the video.
We have taken note of your report and will investigate this on our end.
Hi there!
I’m encountering the same issue with the Intel XeSS frame generator. The GPU model doesn’t even seem to affect this—the frame generator itself is malfunctioning.
During the loading screen at the "Initializing contract system" stage, the GPU drops out of its normal operating state, and the frame rate drops to around 50 FPS.
However, I found a workaround: Intel XeSS Frame Generation and normal GPU performance resume if you press Alt+Enter to switch the game to windowed mode and then back to full screen. Unfortunately, this has to be done at the start of EVERY single run.
Please, check my video https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IOc8udV2KlvAueWSQf1kOBvDQfIoAC0J/view?usp=sharing
Bungie, could you please fix this in an upcoming patch so we don't have to constantly toggle windowed mode back and forth and can just enjoy smooth gameplay?
