Linux Support

Players have been providing feedback and asking about Linux support for months but have received only silence from Bungie developers, not even an acknowledgement. The feedback section on Discord feels like it's more of a containment zone for any would-be Linux players. Afaik there hasn't even been any official acknowledgement from Bungie on whether or not Linux will be supported. Developers would not need to maintain a Linux build for Marathon as Proton enables players to boot into the main menu, the issue is with BattlEye blocking players from getting further even though BattlEye officially supports Linux on a developer Opt-In basis. Will Bungie ever make any sort of official pledge for Linux support or at least acknowledge the player sentiment in any meaningful way?

In the face of Bungie capitulating to the recent harassment campaign it's disheartening to see how Bungie treats players who actually behave themselves.
