I dont know what to say. Signing in crash every update you drop
Got back into the game after season 2, played a lot, dropped out, came back 2 weeks later after an update -> crash on signing in.
I can understand that, really. I GET IT. Every setup is different, and sometimes some very peculiar things will crash the game. It's not on your end, and it's up to the player to fix it. I GET IT ; I updated drivers, I did make some changes with my computer since I last played.
So I diligently digged in, and fixed it (apparently Nahimic was the problem' root).
I get into playing the game, I enjoyed the experience, so i'm like "ok lets give it another shot despite being horrible at it" It was yesterday, July 28.
Today, July 29, i update the game, tried to log in.
Crashes on signing in.
My pc is exactly the same as yesterday. Perfect carbon copy. Nothing was modified. Same drivers same everything. This is where I draw the line. I paid for this. You're not delivering the promised service. You CAN NOT put this on me or my setup.
You're not making it easy on you, bungie. I'm really trying to like your game despite it's horrible state for casual players. But this is too much.
Don't try the "is your internet on" support. I'm, not here to get insulted, i'm signaling a bug.
And I'm not trying to fix it ; i'm trought that. You do it yourself.

I’m sorry you’re hitting another sign-in crash right after yesterday's update.
Could you please provide us with a copy of your DxDiag? You can copy and paste it over on PasteBin and provide us with the link.
Also, could you share the the exact time the crash happened today and your Event Viewer entries from that crash?
Once we have this information, we will be able to review.

I dont know how to use event viewer. I don't know what to look for. I don't know where to find a crash log event.. You can't expect me to know if you just don't telI me. I don't usually have to dig so deeply into this stuff. Stop making me fix it. I can't do that every time you release a patch.

Thank you for the DxDiag and the Event Viewer log.
Can you please fully close programs like SteelSeries GG or Sonar, Discord, Steam Overlay, GeForce or Nvidia capture, OBS, MSI Afterburner, RTSS, or anything else that adds overlays or recording tools, then start Marathon again.
If the game still crashes, please let us know and we will keep investigating with the information you already sent in.
I'll say it one more time : I didnt install ANYTHING new between the 2 gaming session. One day, it's working, you do the maintenance, release the patch, and when the service are back online the next day, it crashes. NOTHING NEW was added on my computer.
And I already tracked and closed everything that I could think of (like razer app). I don't run any overlay. Sadly, it's still crashing on signing in.
Quick update : It's still not working. Maybe if I wait for the next patch it's going to fix itself !
Quick update : I updated my bios, checked and updated each and every driver I have, disabled every third party app, checked and disabled every possible overlay, digged into the 0xc0000409 error mentionned in my event log
Game is still crashing during signing in. I've been at it for hours now. It's really killing my free time.
I'm about to give up.
If the support team could give pointers (and do its job ?) it would be nice.
My next fight will be to get your game refunded. Wht happened here is plain old theft.
Well,
I ran windows integrity check. Ran a memory diag. No error was found.
Ran a clean boot. The game still crashes.
I linked the event log I found. I don't know what i can do anymore. If you're feeling like helping, i've sent all hte information I could find.
I'll wait around for a while. If you don't give any sign of activity, i'll try to get the game refunded.
It's been a miserable experience working with you to fix your game.
