Tranquility Credentials disappeared from my inventory
Just for clarity I had to drop 2 items right before I picked up tranquility credentials. After I picked up tranquility credentials I ratted in the room with assassin until the door unlocked rather than fight the warden.
Somewhere between the warden's room near Steerage and vault 5 access it disappeared from my inventory. I didnt get downed and I didnt drop it.
Interestingly enough I do open my inventory two times. Once while in the warden's room and you can see it is still in there. I got a little lost and accidently went to the hallways that lead to Cargo instead of vault 5's access. I opened my inventory in Cargo about 15-30 seconds before getting to vault 5's access and the credentials were still in there. When I made it to the vault they were gone. No I didnt drop it.
When rewatching the footage I was sure I would do something stupid like drop it, but it turns out it really did just fucking disappear. If this would have happened to me with any other item I wouldnt have even checked the footage because I would just assume I did something dumb. But with tranq credentials you have to pick up the item to get locked in the room. And there is no reason to drop tranq credentials. Again, no I didnt drop it by mistake. Everyone laughed at me, hope that makes you smile too, Bungie. This happened in vault breaker

I do not have footage of my instance, but this also occurred to me with Pump Credentials. I picked it up, I had to because you have to to start the fight, and went directly to Vault 3 and by the time it was there it was gone.
I was gaslit into thinking I must have dropped it, but we re-traced my steps for 18 minutes (this was in VaultBreakers) and it was nowhere to be found.
Again I don’t have proof, but another occurrence of the exact same situation (though there’s still a chance I did drop it, since I don’t have proof like OP does)

Ive got another clip and Im pretty much certain what causes this now. It's not even technically a glitch. It happened because my team mates started the creds scanner before I was there. When the creds scanner runs it most likely deletes creds from your inventory and ties to your player character if you are close enough. I was close enough. Afterwards my team mates asked me to drop the creds (which they accidently deleted from my inventory by starting the scanner). If I would have stood in front of the scanner it probably would have let us in.
TLDR. You should make it to where only the person with the creds can start the creds scanner. That way no one else gets gas lit
When it happened to me, I stood close enough and had the key, but it would not let me advance. I had the key and the credentials, but the credentials went missing and it didnt allow us to advance the mechanic.
I just played a solo vault breaker match and the creds disappeared as I activated the scanner. I opened my bag right after activating it and they were gone BUT the scan worked and it opened the vault.
Was your team standing close to you or the scanner by chance?
