Frame Generation Bugged Now?

I am not sure if FG is working now after latest update (I use Nvidia FG option).  The FPS counter graphic was changed as it now does not look like it did before (its now green instead of white on the counter text).

With FG on it no longer shows me the added frames it gives like before.  However, turning it off and back on seems to me that its still actually working as it looks smoother/like it did before when on.

Can someone comment on this please?  Your discord chat is absolutely awful no offense.  Just a bunch of people whining in there.  It is impossible to get any clear answers in your Discord.

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out about this!

If you're intending to share feedback about frame generation, the best place to share it is on the official Marathon Discord rather than our Help Forums. To that point, we suggest posting your thoughts there, if you haven't already done so. You can find the specific feedback channels below:

Alternatively, if you believe you're experiencing issues with these settings, could you please capture some footage that clearly demonstrates the issues you're seeing? You can upload the footage to a public video hosting site, like YouTube, then post the link here and we’ll be glad to take a look.

  • yes there are multiple issues happening

    1. The new FPS display does not display the framegen FPS just the base FPS underneath

    2. Framegen when applied to the homescreen is laggy, turned off its snappy. in game its smooth on, laggy without.

    3. Tabbing out of the game or Finishing a match somehow makes the framegen half the fps instead of doubling it?Turning it on and off again in a game solves this but you have to do it EVERY game or anytime you change a setting in your menu.

    4. Frame gen doesnt work when using menus? esc menu, inventory  all run at base FPS then framegen kicks in after leaving the menu

  • I appreciate your response, but I do not understand why I need to record footage for this situation.  I cap my frame rate at 144 per my monitor.  When Nvidia FG is turned on the FPS counter sits at 72 now instead of 144.  Before the update it would count the added frames in the FPS counter.  Now it does not, but it seems like it is still working as the actual picture seems smoother/normal when turned on.  That is about it.
