game crashes while signing in

i already have 300 hours in and was playing fine, but since June 2 for some reason it stopped working for some reason, i can launch the game from steam but after i click the menu and i am signing in, the game freezes and crashes. i tried uninstalling and installing again, clearing steam cache, updating my drivers, but nothing works. its also not a performance issue. so yeah i don't know what to do.

    Hi there,

    Thank you for reaching out.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with the game stability when trying to play the game.

To start out, we'd recommend trying to verify the game file integrity through steam to see if it helps. If the issue persists, please ensure that all of your drivers, windows, and your BIOS are all fully up-to-date.

If you still run into the same issue despite all of this, can you provide us with a copy of your DxDiag? You can copy and paste it over on PasteBin and provide us with the link.

  • here is the link for DxDiag

  • Hi there,

    Thanks for the DxDiag.

While it may be possible to play on certain laptop configurations, we do not officially support them per our Marathon Storage and System Requirements guide.

Because this is an unsupported platform, we’re only able to suggest basic troubleshooting steps here and can’t provide more advanced troubleshooting or guarantee a fix for this setup.

That being said, here are some steps to try:

    • Disconnect any iPhone/iPad/Apple accessories before launch.
    • Remove or repair Apple device software.
    • Update your GPU drivers to the latest version from NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel.
    • Make sure the game is using the laptop’s dedicated GPU rather than integrated graphics.
    • Set Windows and your GPU control panel to High Performance mode for Marathon.
    • Disable overlays and background tools such as Steam Overlay, Discord Overlay, GeForce Experience overlay, MSI Afterburner, RivaTuner, and similar software.
    • Remove any overclock, undervolt, or third-party performance tuning settings and test again at default settings.
    • Fully restart the PC after driver updates, reinstalling, or verifying files.
    • Make sure Windows is fully updated.
