Feedback regarding CPU usage and performance issues

First of all, I want to say that Marathon is genuinely an amazing game. The artistic direction is incredible, the gameplay loop is extremely addictive, and overall the game has a lot of qualities that make it stand out. The communication and follow-up from the developers have also been very good so far, which is something the community really appreciates.

However, there is currently one major issue that risks overshadowing everything else: performance and optimization.

Right now, the game seems to rely extremely heavily on the CPU while barely using the GPU. This creates serious performance problems for many players, even those with systems that meet or exceed the recommended specifications.

For example, my setup:
- GPU: RX 6700 XT  
- CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X 

I've tried all the graphics settings and all the resolutions, but nothing changes because the problem is the CPU...

This configuration is at or above the recommended specs, so in theory I should have smooth performance. Unfortunately, that is not the case at all.

Despite this hardware, I’m experiencing very inconsistent performance and clear signs of poor optimization, with the CPU being heavily stressed while the GPU is underutilized.

I currently have around 120 hours played, even though the game released only about 8 days ago. That alone should show how much I genuinely enjoy the game and want it to succeed.

But if the performance issues remain as they are now, many players — including myself — may eventually be forced to stop playing, regardless of how much we enjoy the game. The current performance level simply isn’t acceptable for systems that meet the recommended requirements.

I really hope the team prioritizes optimization, especially regarding CPU usage and overall performance stability, because the game itself has huge potential and deserves to run properly.
