Poor performance on great system (7800X3D + 4080S)
Hi, loving the game. My only gripe with it: the performance isn't what I expected at all given the requirements. My CPU and GPU outperform the recommended ones by 50%+ and 200%+ respectively.
My specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 Super, 32 GB of RAM.
Playing at 1440p, with maxed out settings + DLAA, FPS on different maps are as follows:
Perimeter: ranging anywhere between 100 and 170, with sharp drops in certain areas.
Dire Marsh: ranging anywhere between 100 and 140, with sharp drops in several many more areas compared to Perimeter.
Outpost: getting as low as 90, with a maximum of 120/130. Heat Cascade can make FPS tank to 80 in certain areas.
Changing all graphics settings from max to "lowest" does not change FPS in any way.
I don't think these FPS values are acceptable given my system, and I think there is clearly a problem with CPU usage that still hasn't been addressed since the Server Slam. While 80/90 FPS are not bad values per sé, I'm using a high refresh rate screen with 165 Hz to play and take advantage of my powerful system, and those values look lagging and stuttery on my monitor, severely hampering my enjoyment of what should otherwise be a pretty smooth experience. Is there any more new info on this? Is this problem (shared by many many others with similar high end configurations) a priority for fixing? I'm asking this because I don't see it in the list of Known Issues.
