Viewing player profile (on pc) in the main menu causes game to crash

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but I tried to look at my friend’s profile using the in-game option because it was displaying a different name. When I clicked “View Profile,” the Steam overlay popped up (like when you press Shift+Tab), and a window started trying to load the profile. Then the game crashed. When I loaded back into the game and pressed Shift+Tab again, the profile window was still there, and it caused the game to crash again. I had to close that window before launching the game in order to prevent it from crashing whenever I used Shift+Tab.
