Audio fadeout on Dire Marsh

Experienced this several times around Complex and East Gate on Dire Marsh (I have a 30 second clip showing it happen).

Audio seems to fade out entirely (music, world noise, menu noises everything) then kick back in somewhere between 5-15 seconds later (cannot seem to figure out exactly what results in it coming back). seems to be related to the music cue that can be best described as ghostly (don't know the instrument but like something akin to violin or something?).
