I cant launch the game

Someone can help me, when I start the game, BattlEye launches, then it closes after loading, and the “Start Game” button appears again. It’s like the game crashes right after the BattlEye screen disappears.

    Please see our Marathon Storage and System Requirements guide to ensure your system meets the current minimum required specs. If it does, please let us know your system's specs as well as your Bungie name (including the # and 4 digits) and approximate date/time this last occurred. We'll be glad to take a look.

  • This has been happening to me since the launch of the server slam, bungie has not acknowledged it at all. I've made 3 different posts, this is ridiculous. Worst part is I was able to play during the closed tech test just fine.

  • A friend of mine is having this same issue, sounds like plenty of people are — I have seen Bungie acknowledge the issue in other threads but no word of a fix yet.

  • Getting the same issue (already replied on a different thread a few days ago, but can't hurt to reply here as well).
    BattlEye pops up, says "Launching BattlEye service, Updating, Launching the game", Game process launches, CPU usage of the process goes up to around 10-15%, back down, then the process disappears and Steam shows that the game is not running anymore. I tried re-installing the game, re-starting Steam, re-starting the computer, re-installing BattlEye, disabling Steam Overlay. Destiny 2 is running on my system without issues at nice framerates. GPU drivers are up to date (Nvidia driver 582.28).
    Latest time I've tried this is 02.03.2026 at 10:17am GMT+1, if that helps. Bungie Name is Rothryn#8219.
    Specs:
    CPU: i7 3770k (quad core with hyperthreading, 3,9GHz)
    GPU: Asus Nvidia GTX 1080 Strix 8GB
    RAM: 32GB DDR3 2133Mhz
    Mainboard: Asus Maximus V Gene
    OS: Windows 10 on the latest update

    Would love to play this game and I hope this gets resolved for the actual launch.  ^^

  • Bungie Support Please, I understand the need to respond. But don't insult our intelligence. everyone experiencing this issue meets the minimum specs. Furthermore, people who participated in the Alpha test were unable to launch it as well. I promise you not everyone is as patient and understanding as I am. This will result in an EVEN BIGGER loss of sales if not fixed BEFORE Thursday. This isn't matter of IF it will, it's more like how bad it will. Sincerely, a 38-Year-Old who dragged his mother into Kmart and purchased Halo CE on release day.
