Exfil Bug - Will loot be returned

Successfully exfiled on Outpust after killing the full lobby but it was recorded as a loss and lost all my loot. Between my squad we lost 3x purple sheilds and 3x prestige Brrrt smgs (2 of these are the unique from cryo archives. I understand from posts this may be a common issue. Can bungie please confirm if the lost loot will be returned?
