Item dropped inside a death bag and can’t be picked up

I had killed somebody and went to loot them, while in the bag I had dropped something out of it and couldn’t pick it back up. The prompt would appear when my backpack was full telling me I couldn’t pick it up but wouldn’t appear when I had enough space for it. I don't have footage of me dropping it but I do of trying to pick it back up.
