I finally solved this problem. The issue was caused by using Google DNS. After changing the DNS address, I haven't experienced any connection problems. I'm very happy and wanted to share the solution; perhaps others experiencing the same problem will avoid connection issues if they don't use Google DNS settings.

If you are using Google DNS (8.8.8.8 - 8.8.4.4) and experiencing this problem, I recommend changing your DNS settings.
