Microphone stops working when I open the Game

When i open the Game my microphone no longer works. I'll be in a Discord call with buddys and they can hear me fine but as soon as i open the game my mic just stops working.  when i go into the advance settings it shows that my mic is just strait up not picking up any audio while the game is open and when i close the game it starts working again
