Unable to launch the game, Windows 11.
Bungie Account Name - Ortman#6273
Platform - Steam, Laptop, Windows 11
Description of Issue - Unable to launch the game.
Rough Date and Time of issue - 28.02.2026. Right after recent patch (hotfix?).
Repro steps - I have a 4060, i9-14900hx, 32Gb DDR5 Laptop.
I managed to play for a total of 12 hours. I played the demo version from the day it was released and everything was great (except for rare performance drops), and then this ill-fated update came out. It all started when I launched the game and saw 87 fps in the menu instead of the usual 144. Then, when I started a run, I encountered terribly low fps (down to 30-40 on average). I finished the run, restarted the game, and this time it didn't start at all.

To be precise, now when I launch the game through Steam, BattleEye launches, the game starts to launch, I hear the UAC sound in the background as if I'm being asked for permission, and nothing else happens. The game is running in the background, according to the task manager, and that's it. There is no game window, and Steam also thinks that it's "running". Have to manually end task.
I tried the following methods:
- Updated the GeForce drivers to the latest version.
- Downloaded the old GeForce drivers for December 2025.
- Deleted the BattleEye cache in the AppData\Local folder.
- Turned off Steam and Discord overlays.
- I restarted my PC several times and checked the integrity of the game files after each step. Tried everything in different combinations and all at once.
I saw that there are problems with launching when you have MIDI devices or an audio card, but that's not my case.
It's a shame that I can't play anymore, I wanted to try to reach level 30. I really don't want to ask for a refund of my pre-order, but in this state, it's completely unplayable... If there's no fix at release, I'll have to watch someone else's gameplay. T^T
