Funny Audio Bugs with Bluetooth Headphones (why my voice chat no worky)

When trying to use my Bluetooth headphones as both an audio output device for the voice chat and the game's actual audio, my headphones try to go into Hands Free mode, (even though I'm using a separate microphone) and I can only hear the muffled game audio minus my friend's actual voice chat. It seems to fix itself when I use a different audio device for SPECIFICALLY the voice chat audio, but then my friend has to deal with his voice echoing through my speaker instead of his voice just going through my headphones. I'm assuming the game trying to send two different audio signals at once to a single audio device might be making the Bluetooth audio standard shit itself, but I have no idea how the game's audio and voice chat audio is actually being handled...
