Deluxe Edition Issue - Requesting Support Ticket
Hello,
I saw another player post about this issue this morning, and a Bungie representative responded that a support ticket had been opened so the issue could be investigated further.
Could the same be done for my account please?
I purchased Marathon Deluxe Edition on June 3, during Open Play Week and before the disclaimer was added to the PlayStation Store listing. My receipt shows Marathon Deluxe Edition.
Since Open Play Week ended, I have not had access to the game. The PlayStation Store still shows that I need to purchase the base game, and when I launch Marathon it tells me that Open Play Week is no longer active and that ownership of the game is required.
I've already submitted the support form, posted here on the forums multiple times, and contacted PlayStation Support several times, but I still do not have access to the game.
If someone could please open a support ticket or escalate this for further review, I would greatly appreciate it. I really just want to get back into the game.

I threw in the towel and ended up getting a refund from Sony.
You might still have a shot at getting the game though. The customer service agent for PlayStation thought he had the solution to our problem.
He mentioned on their end I did have the license to game. He said the demo and the deluxe we bought shared the same license number so he believes it confuses the system. Apparently he was able to help others and removed the license on their end and then it would allow users to download the game over again. Ultimately this didn't work for me. He was very apologetic. Tried a few more trouble shooting options before ultimately refunding my money.
He also mentioned I could try to purchase the standard game at full price, call back customer support and see if they'd be willing to refund me the difference from the sale price that we missed out on due to this blunder. I tried that. Sony wouldn't do it so then I just refunded that standard purchase and I'm moving on. I don't feel like dealing with Bungie anymore after this fiasco.

It definitely has been a frustrating experience, and I almost don't even feel like playing the game anymore. It's been almost 2 weeks, so this whole ordeal has just kinda killed the mood. I mean missing 2 weeks in a season that only lasts a few months puts you at a pretty big disadvantage.
I did just get a Bungie response to my support ticket that I submitted last week though, so I'm hopeful that will lead to a resolution.
Not sure how much longer I'm going to try before just getting a refund, but I'm hoping for the best. I appreciate the info though!
Just an FYI to everyone that sees this, if you purchesed during the trial week and still havent received the game, you wont be getting it. Both playstation support and bungie support flat out said that anyone and everyone who has been affected has been properly compensated. Its a blatant lie, but I pushed back for almost 2 full weeks to poth playstation support and bungie support and both said to go to the other until finally bungie said I wasnt eligible to receive a game code becuase my purchase was HOURS after that tweet from one of the developers. Ive talked to other people in the same boat, I know a single person that got a copy of the game and they purchased it on the 2nd. Seams like anyone that purchesed on the 3rd or after are SOL. Bungie is currently experiencing massive layoffs aswell as a number of other issues so this is probably the end of the situation. They successfully swept it under the rug. I say good to the layoffs. Ill be happy to see the studio close after how they've destroyed any good will with their comunity and fired almost all their real talent years ago. Fuck bungie. Sorry to anyone like myself who's money is just lost in the void now. PLEASE protest with your wallet and boycott this shitty company so they go under sooner rather than later and cant fuck over more people. Bungie has been dead for years, dont feel bad or grasp onto nostalgia. Get angry. The state of the industry is a joke and we all just go along with it. If your seeing this, spent money on the game and dont have access. Make your voice heard, plaster your experience everywhere and make sure to let others know. This is wrong, and theres no longer anything we can do about this situation but warn others.
