Cannot log into the game due to Server side issue. Permanent loop "weasel" error

    Platform - Steam
    Description of Issue - I got disconnected in the middle of a run with some friends. We all got an error saying "Cannot reconnect to the game, loot will be refunded" or something like that, and they did, but I am on an eternal loop of trying to reconnect to that game. Internet,apps and other games work fine.
    I am using Ethernet connection.
    Cannot load in from the title screen.
    Checked integrity files and did a full clean install.

    I followed all of the networking troubleshooting steps on the forum but I can't fix it

    In case you need it, since i've seen this question in a few other recent posts:
    My region: Europe
    My ISP Name: Vodafone
    Does this only happen at certain times of the day?: It just happened, its the first time this has ever happened to me or any of my friends

  • Same happening to me, can't log in rebooted router, not connecting to server or lobby.

  • I have the same issue.  mid Cryo run, we wiped a team and were just finished looting and this happens.

    Description of Issue - I got disconnected in the middle of a Cryo run. We all got an error saying "Cannot reconnect to the game, loot will be refunded" - the host got refunded and made it back to lobby, but we did not.  Two of us are stuck in this loop of "Keep Waiting?" or "Return to Lobby"? Keep Waiting lasts for like, 3 seconds before the screen comes up again.  "Return to Lobby" triggers a Weasel code, logs out, and then logging back in runs the loop again.  

    This definitely feels server side as everything in my house is fine, we all got lagged and disconnected (we were able to party chat still for 30 seconds before disconnect) - verified files in steam, removed temp files, flushed DNS, restarted router, etc. 

    i even tried to login via Xbox and got the same error.  I am locked out of the game due to this bug.

  • I have the same issue. Mid Cryo, we just killed a team, and then we all got disconnected. I think I was the only one unable to return to the game, after getting the 'continue waiting' pop-up or an error repeatedly. It did flash 'gear refunded', but I've yet to actually log back into the game to even check if I got the loadout returned. 

    I was playing on Xbox, and this happened roughly 50-60 minutes ago. I've tried closing the game, restarting my console, and a few other things, with no luck.

  • I have the same error.
    Platform - Steam

    Have tried everything suggested to fix besides resetting windows.

    We lost connection while loading into a game, booted back to menu, my team was in lobby but I was given the weasal error continuously for the past 3 hours.
    I can connect on my girlfriends account on the same computer with steam family sharing.

  • The issue persists after the daily reset. I have restarted my PC and router. I even tried switching to Xbox. Same issue. This is a terrible experience

  • I just created a new steam account and using the same PC and settings loaded up the game just fine. At least for me, this is clearly account based.
