OVERHEATING

Every time I load into the game my ps5 overheats whether I’m in a game or the menu, it’s caused my ps5 to shut off randomly. It worked fine before season 2 but for some reason it’s giving me problems now and I’m pretty sure it’s not the console because any other game runs perfectly fine, please help with this issue!!

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the report.

    If you are still experiencing overheating, can you please try the following:

    • Completely power down your PS5 (not rest mode), wait ~30 seconds, then start it back up.
    • Check for and install any system updates (PS5 system software)
    • On PS5, you can also try Rebuilding the Database by going into Safe Mode → Rebuild Database.
    • Reinstall Marathon and Clear your console's cache (Please check out this guide)

    Also, please make sure your console has good ventilation and is free of any dust. Overheating can trigger safety shutdowns that look like random crashes.
