Series X - Full Console Shutdown - Cryo

When playing Cryo, my Series X is full crashing (system shutdown, no error code) in like 50%+ of the matches I play. I don’t seem to have this issue on other maps, at least nowhere near as often. I have done the standard things to try to mitigate, and I have had no luck. Been happening all weekend, and just managed to lose a ton of gold stuff on Cryo after I crashed mid-fight. Gold bully, missy, shields, implants, etc. From the forums, it doesn’t seem like this is specific to me, so something clearly going on here. Thanks.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the report.

    If you are still experiencing crashing and overheating, can you please try the following:

    • Completely power down your console, wait ~30 seconds, then start it back up.
    • Check for and install any system updates
    • Reinstall Marathon and Clear your console's cache (Please check out this guide)

    Also, please make sure your console has good ventilation. Overheating can trigger safety shutdowns that look like random crashes.
