Australia server capacity

I’ve got a total of 35 hours in Marathon since launch, working full time I only get a couple days a week to hop on. On those days in Australia I often spent 30 minutes to 1 hour plus in queue for a game and without knowing much about where people across the world are playing this game from, and in light of the dwindling player counts, I can only assume I as an Australian am locked into oceanic servers. In addition I currently assume that the bulk of the already small player base is situated in North America meaning not in my servers and not playing in my Timezone either even if I could be matched there. I am curious to know if there’s someway of finding out which servers I am able to connect to and where the player base is located as I’d love to know why I struggle to find a match.

    Hello!

Thank you for reaching out! I'm sorry to hear you're having a hard time finding matches when launching into a run. I can see how this significantly impacts your gameplay when you're just looking to wind down after a long day of work!

While we are unable to share insight on server population and player base, you're always welcome to share your experience on our official Marathon Discord, where our developers can see it. You can post in the dedicated feedback channels about your experience, and any improvements or changes to the servers that you'd like to suggest.

In any case, I hope you get to enjoy the game with shorter matchmaking times!
