E.M.M. menu texture bug and unupdated rook desc

Issue: weird texture glitch/accidentally accessed dev meme (now called EdwardMartonMode) probably having to do with an incorrectly placed 3d model of the original marathon logo interfering with textures
and also the rook desc still says he needs level 3 to be played
DateTime: EdwardMartonMode was breached around 4:00 pm 4/14/2026. E.M.M. happened to me once before today too so it probably doesn't have to do with an update addition from 1.0.6
Repro steps: no clue, I think I either loaded in like that or came from the select map menu

Also, please change the Requiem for a Compiler achievement in the codex back to Requiem for a Cyborg, the unintended name is cooler

I THINK it's a missing texture thing and it's just my PC u can see my CPU heaving for air in real time in the top right hand corner

Thank you very much for reaching out to us. I'm sorry to hear that you faced this texture issue and that the Rook text appears outdated. Regarding the issue with the Rook tooltip, we've received reports of this issue and are investigating the underlying issue further.
Regarding the issue with the textures, while it may be a local issue, can you clarify if the issue persisted when you relaunched the game? Can you also confirm that all of your drivers (mostly your GPU drivers, but also windows, audio, etc.) are up-to-date? Can you also provide us with a copy of your DxDiag? You can paste it over on PasteBin and provide us with the viewing link.

no, E.M.M. didn't persist when relaunching. It would probably take a while to recreate it at any point. I meant to say E.M.M. happened only once before and that it was a while ago (at a date before today), not two times today, that was poorly worded. The first time it happened it sorted itself out in-game as well like in the video, but I didn't have time to observe anything other than the messed up lighting in the main menu.

my important drivers seem to be mostly up to date. The drivers I found weren't up-to-date are listed below:
my GPU (RTX 3070) wasn't completely up to date, but wasn't far behind: There was a driver update that came out 3/24/26 (very recent, supposedly fixed an issue with Halo Reach) and I was one update down with a driver that came out January this year (still "up to date" in Device Manager).
I'm on the most recent version of Windows 10, which isn't the most recent version of Windows, but it is a compatible version
Realtek audio driver was from 2020
