Stuck loading into lobby

me and my duo just lost all our gear after trying to load into a game on outpost and the server wouldnt ever connect (searing infinitely). no option to leave without losing all our gear. waited 20+ minutes to no avail. my duo lost a prestige v75 scar he just looted from the previous game. absolutely gutted as we were having a great night up until that point. not please with marathon right now, please tell me there is a way to get our loot back.
