Loadout empty after extracting

On Saturday March 14th at around 10:45-11am I extracted at the last second on Outpost and my loadout was completely empty when I returned to the menu.
I took the restricted exfil during final exfil, saw the successful exfil animation, and lost everything.
I don't have a recording but I would like to know why I lost my loadout and if it's possible to get anything back.

Hi there,
While we're unable to manually return lost loot, we have a system in place that automatically refunds gear lost to a subset of server errors. Please note that this will not cover gameplay losses due to Internet connectivity or client-side problems.
If this happens again, please use your platform's share feature to capture a clip highlighting the issue you're experiencing and upload it to YouTube, then send us the link here along with your Bungie name (including the # and 4 digits), platform, and approximate date/time it occurred. We'll be glad to take a look.
