Game crashes after beginning settings

Hello,
For the past two days in a row now, I have not been able to play Marathon. After I get past the menu where you select Proximity Chat to be enabled or disabled, no matter the option and click continue. The game will crash with no warning.

I have tried updated my graphics drivers and restarting my computer, this has not worked.

I have tried disabling my virtual audio output and input (saw a reddit post about that) still hasnt worked.

I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, and verifying the integrity of the game files. This has not worked, neither did disabling my anti-virus.

I've tried to see if it was an issue with AVX2 but I know its enabled on my computer so its not that either.

Here are my specs

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core

32 GB RAM

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti

Storage: 250 GB SSD

    Hi there,

    Thanks for reaching out!

If the issue persists after re-installing Marathon, please try installing the game on another disk (if possible) to rule out potential hardware issues. If the issue continues, please make sure your Windows is fully updated to the latest version.

  • I have installed the game on both the SSD I install all my games on, and my HDD which not ideal for video games I still tried. The problem has still persisted, should I record a video of myself launching the game to demonstrate what's going on? It's very perplexing.

  • Thanks for the update. Please double-check that your Windows version is fully updated to the latest version.

Please also note that the game is not officially supported on laptop devices, even if those devices otherwise meet the minimum requirements.
