Game Stuttering & Stuck at 3 FPS
Game is unplayable due to buffering and being stuck at 2-3 fps.
I will startup the game normally from either steam library or desktop shortcut and be prompted with a blackscreen for a few seconds and then a stuttering video of the PS logo video and stuttery audio as well. Waiting it out yields no results as well. I will be sent to the setup screen where I will can adjust screen brightness but still have stuttering. I have tried reinstalling graphics card drivers, going back to the older GPU driver, a restart of the pc, making sure all updates have been done on pc, getting rid of any overlays, changing refresh rate of monitor, and a clean reinstall of the game. Nothing works. The game is still stuck stuttering at 3 fps and is unplayable due to the subsequent lag.
Please help.

The first Marathon patch was released today, but the problem wasn't fixed, it wasn't even mentioned at all. We're desperate and waiting for a definitive solution.
