Severe graphical artifacts: black polygons and missing world geometry
Description
During gameplay in Marathon, severe graphical issues occur consistently:
-
Weapons, environment objects, and world geometry turn into solid black polygons
-
Parts of the map disappear or become heavily distorted

Large stretched planes and broken geometry appear in the world

These issues significantly impact gameplay and make the game difficult or impossible to play.

Launch Marathon
-
Load into a match / game area
-
Move around the map and play normally
-
After some time, black models and broken geometry appear
⚠️ The issue occurs consistently, not randomly.

Black polygons replacing models

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out.
We’ve received reports of graphical texture issues affecting AMD users, and these have been flagged to the dev team. We apologize for the inconvenience!
ive spoken to some on reddit, and im going to copy/paste this into the similar reports as its not on the known issue list and seems to affect quite a few people
so far, ive seen it happen mainly on RX cards, 570, 580, and 590. I have tried running older versions the most up to date versions of the drivers, specifically 26.1.1 (latest), 24.9.1, and 25.5.1.
the issue mainly affects buildings, runners (hands) and weapons, i am yet to meet an actuall runner in game so cannot confirm if it happens to other runners, but it also affected my npc enemies.
