Incorrect sniper reticle rendering in HDR (with proof and comparison)

This has already been widely reported, but QA is mostly dismissing it. I've now included a very clear video proof showing the rendering difference between HDR ON and HDR OFF: https://youtu.be/QcERrTPHGGk

The first half shows how the reticle renders with HDR ON, which makes it nearly invisible against brighter backgrounds.

The second half shows how the reticle renders with HDR OFF, and you can see very clearly that the reticle remains fully visible against the same bright background.

    Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out and for reporting this.

Please provide the following details to add to your report:

    • The approximate date and time of when this happened
    • Does this affect all reticles, all sniper scopes, or only specific weapons/scopes/attachments? Please list examples.
    • Does it affect hip-fire reticles, red-dot sights, or other weapon reticles?
    • Does it happen consistently, and does it occur on both bright and dark backgrounds?
    • Do resolution scaling, anti-aliasing, or other graphics settings help change the visibility of the reticle?
    • Are other HUD elements also washed out or low-contrast, or only the reticle?
    • If you have it, can you share same-view comparison with HDR ON and OFF using several affected weapons?
    • Approximate date and time: 5AM EST, August 5, 2026
    • As far as I know, this only affects ADS sniper reticles.
    • The reticle consistently disappears when the background is of similar color (grayish white), and is consistently visible against dark backgrounds. It's important to stress here that with HDR turned OFF, the reticle is fully visible against all backgrounds.
    • In-game HDR settings do not appear to improve this issue at all.
    • Only the reticle is affected by this issue, not other UI elements.
    • The video I shared shows the same-view comparison with HDR ON and OFF. You will be able to see the same with all snipers, including the default scope and other scopes.

  • Here's a bonus screenshot showing how the reticle looks with min and max HDR brightness settings:
