Explosives not working on Crate

Description: Mida Priority contract: Protect/Destroy 5. The second Step requires blowing open a container with explosives; threw 3 Frag Grenades directly at it, had no effect. Step 1 was successfully completet; The container was marked on my HUD; the explosives went off directly in front, one of them on top of the container. Contract couldnt be proceeded with.

I managed to get it done by placing a claymore mine in front of the Box and shooting it; Frag grenades where still not working.
If Claymores are the only intended way to do the contract, it would help to clarify that in its description, rather then just say explosives.
