Game crash on launch (bad_module_info) - i7-3770 / UEFI / Secure Boot Enabled
Hello Bungie Support Team,
I am experiencing an issue where the game fails to launch. The Marathon/BattlEye launcher appears for a few seconds and then disappears without any specific error message.
My System Specs:
-
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 (Ivy Bridge)
-
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB (Latest drivers)
-
OS: Windows 10 (Build 19045 or later)
-
Motherboard: Dell OptiPlex 7010 (BIOS version A29 - Latest)
Steps I have already taken:
-
Disk Conversion: Converted system drive from MBR to GPT.
-
BIOS Settings: Enabled UEFI mode and Secure Boot (Confirmed "On" in msinfo32).
-
BattlEye: Reinstalled the service and verified game files integrity.
-
Virtual Memory: Increased Page File size to 16GB.
-
Compatibility: Disabled full-screen optimizations for the game executable.
Event Viewer Log: The Event Viewer shows an Application Error (Event ID 1000) with the faulting module name: bad_module_info.
My Question: Does the game or the BattlEye version used for Marathon strictly require AVX2 instructions? My CPU (i7-3770) supports AVX but lacks AVX2. If AVX2 is mandatory, is there any workaround, or is the hardware officially unsupported?
Thank you for your help!
