  • Do you happen to use a Focusrite audio interface? I had that issue and when I unplugged my interface, I loaded totally fine. Definitely needs to be fixed.

  • Just wanted to +1 this, I have a Focusrite 4i4 and the game crashes on boot with a :

          KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE (0x139)

    error code.

Pretty rough! Unplugging the Scarllet resolves the issue

  • I seem to be having the same issue as you Rival. I try to start from steam and it says running, battle-eye pops up for a moment, then ends without launching the game.

  • I have the same issue and I was thinking of the same thing. Ive had this issue with Fragpunk. After the NetEasy anti cheat pops up the game just goes back to dormant and the play button goes back to green

  • They must have implemented something recently as I was able to play the tech test just fine without any errors. Sucks that we are missing out on the ability to grind out the launch loot.

  • Same issue here, list of things i've tried (doesnt work):

    - verified integrity of game files

    - ran game as admin

    - clear steam cache

    - disabled overlays (discord and nvidia)

    - opened in windowed screen

    - disabled vanguard

    - updated drivers (and everything else)

    - scrub and reinstall marathon

    - scrub and reinstall steam

    - don't have focusrite

    - not sure where AVX is in my bios. (my pc is asus rog gr8 ii)

  • So some of my friends were able to solve things with battleye on destiny instead and said it might work for marathon.
try Uninstalling Battleye completely and then reinstalling it

  • also wondering what to do here, if it's anything the only thing that might be a little off on my PC is the fact i'm attempting to run it on an i7-3770; Destiny 2 runs just fine and has for months, so i doubt it's much of a conflict with different versions of BattlEye but i'm not certain

  • Enabling AVX was the fix for me. I was stuck for a couple of days. I was trying to get more optimization out of my BIOS settings earlier last year, and this was a setting I changed. nonetheless when I enabled it, the game instantly launched. hope this helps. btw i tried everything, trust me. this was 100% the culprit. I am on an RTX 5070 Ti + i7-14700F 32GB of RAM. I figured it was settings just not sure what. Hope this helps !
