Game doesn't even launch
My game loads up the BattlEye Launcher and then shows this:
After roughly 30s it dissapears off my screen and Steam acts as if the game itself shut down (I'm assuming it's crashed). I am most likely guessing it's due to my computer having legacy specs (Intel i7-4960x CPU, NVIDIA 980ti GPU, DDR3 RAM etc.).

An acknowledgement would be nice. IDC about the server slam, I used two days of pto for release. I feel like a moron even typing that but idc because I planned on taking a few days off anyway but now I'm not buying it at all. I meet the minimum requirements, but they want to be edgy and shut out a solid chunk of the abysmal amount of sales they might have gotten. Keep in mind we are on the website that is specifically made to communicate with a rep from the team.
100% true ^^ (mindgam3s). I feel the same
Does the game require an AVX supported CPU? Would be nice to know! Don't want to buy the game and not be able to play it..
Sure would be nice to have an update about this, 40 minutes until the game launches and I haven't bought the game yet because I couldn't run it.
Waiting for feedback from people who bought it before I buy it (or not at all).
@sleepr i had same issue during server slam, and my friend gifted me a pre order. And you know what? game still doesn't work, so don't buy it at least till you upgrade your setup
can confirm issue persists into launch version with the same error as before for me. what a shame, an update of the exact issue causing it by the team would be nice.
Same here, nothing has changed and the issue is still present post-launch
I7 3770K gtx 1070 32gb 2133mhz ram
same issue, game won't launch at all
I doupt there will be any aknowledgment from bungie
Is it legal to sell a product that doesnt work on different machines?
Same issue here. What i've tried (didn't work):
- verified integrity of game files
- ran game as admin
- clear steam cache
- disabled overlays (discord and nvidia)
- opened in windowed screen
- disabled vanguard
- updated drivers (and everything else)
- scrub and reinstall marathon
- scrub and reinstall steam
- don't have focusrite
- not sure where AVX is in my bios. (my pc is asus rog gr8 ii)
