Bug report - Battleye blocking game dll
Just got the game recently and have not been able to successfully launch it once. Every attempt I get the following error message from battleye.
20:53:26: Starting BattlEye Service...
20:53:28: Updating...
20:53:29: Launching game...
20:54:11: Note: File blocks can be ignored if they don't cause problems with the game.
20:54:11: [INFO] Blocked loading of file: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Marathon\bin\x64\libxess.dll".
I've uninstalled both marathon and battleye and reinstalled them both. Launched steam as an administrator. Removing the problematic file and redownloading it. Nothing is working.

This isn't an isolated case; I’m experiencing the same issue.I’ve been playing since September of this year, but I only encountered this issue last night.
Smoggy Jack update your cpu drivers im running amd/Ryzen 9 and by updating my cpu drivers it managed to fix the problem for me
Thanks to Perfected Luna, I fixed it! My computer has an Intel CPU, and updating the CPU driver fixed it.
Additionally, I accidentally updated the Wi-Fi related driver, which is strange, but it fixed the problem.
