Game crashes on startup before studio logos, no error code
I'm on update 1.1.9.5 and my game was working no problem until yesterday. Now the game crashes on startup on Steam before the studio logos appear. When I start the game, BattlEye launches and a black screen appears. The game then crashes before any logos are displayed. Since installing the update, I haven't made any changes to my settings or anything, I've been able to play on 1.1.9.5 but for some reason, with no changes to anything really, my game doesn't open anymore. I have used Steam to verify integrity of game files, which comes up clean. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling. I have tried running the .exe as admin. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling graphics drivers. I've basically tried everything I can think of, no luck.

Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out and for sharing what troubleshooting you have already tried.
I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with the game’s stability when trying to play the game.
To start out, please ensure that all of your drivers, windows, and your BIOS are all fully up-to-date. Then try repairing or reinstall BattlEye from the game folder, and check that your antivirus or Windows Security is not blocking it or Marathon. If that still doesn't help, please try disabling any overlays and background tools such as Steam Overlay, Discord, GeForce Experience, MSI Afterburner/RivaTuner before trying again.
If you still run into the same issue despite all of this, can you provide us with a copy of your DxDiag? You can copy and paste it over on PasteBin and provide us with the link.
I have tried those as well, can't for the life of me figure out what's causing it. Here's the DxDiag: https://pastebin.com/UiHW7G1j
Hi there,
The PasteBin link that you shared doesn't appear to be working.
Could you check it and reupload it if needed?
Thanks!
I'm having the same issue, playing through steam, haven't had any issues with the game before, ran fine all afternoon yesterday, already tried a pc restart/driver update check/game file integrity check/ running steam and marathon launcher as admin/complete game reinstall
pastebin link: marathon crash - Pastebin.com
also the link you provided above to pastebin's website had a bit of a weird "im not a robot" check that wouldn't continue on to send me to pastebin, but instead to a weird vibes mcafee cybersecurity website full of ads and then immediately summoned multiple signup popups on my desktop, had to google search for the pastebin website to get you my dxdiag paste
are you getting the libexx file blocked in the small battle eye launch screen as well ?
Don't know what the libexx file is, sometimes the small battleye launch popup shows and sometimes it doesn't, the crash is still happening as of this morning
All I know is that I'm nearly 300 hours into this game already and would very much like to be able to continue that investment
FYI for those having the same issue, I'm on an AMD graphics card and I was able to get the game able to boot up again by rolling back to the 2nd most recent graphics driver version, had to run their cleanup tool and install the version that came out 9/29 while disabling auto-update. I went ahead and sent a bug ticket to AMD as well for this issue. My guess is that some update from either AMD or battleye is now causing a conflict between the two. Good luck to everyone.
Also had success rolling back my AMD drivers
Hi again,
I'm glad to hear that rolling back your AMD driver resolved the issue.
We are currently investigating an issue with BattlEye causing crashing at launch. If you do experience this, please grab a screenshot of the error message and share it here.
im noticing the issue is happening to people with amd Ryzen CPUs by updating my ryzen amd drivers i was able to solve the issue its a problems with amd
