Black screen

I was messing around in the settings till I decided to enable frame gen (Intel XeSS), After I applied my settings the game crashed, As I tried to launch the game the game only shows a black screen. This happened two or three days ago and I use a Acer Aspire Vero AV15-51-57WC Notebook with an Intel i5-1155G7, Iris Xe GPU and 16 gigs of ram. I don't really care on how it runs I just wanna experience the game no matter the performance.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for reaching out.

While it may be possible to play on certain laptop configurations, we do not officially support them per our Marathon Storage and System Requirements guide.

Because this is an unsupported platform, we’re only able to suggest basic troubleshooting steps here and can’t provide more advanced troubleshooting or guarantee a fix for this setup.

Your Acer Aspire Vero will probably struggle with Marathon. The 16 GB RAM is enough, but the Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics are below the game’s listed minimum GPUs.

That being said, here are some steps to try:

    • Update your GPU drivers to the latest version from NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel.
    • Make sure the game is using the laptop’s dedicated GPU rather than integrated graphics.
    • Set Windows and your GPU control panel to High Performance mode for Marathon.
    • Disable overlays and background tools such as Steam Overlay, Discord Overlay, GeForce Experience overlay, MSI Afterburner, RivaTuner, and similar software.
    • Remove any overclock, undervolt, or third-party performance tuning settings and test again at default settings.
    • Fully restart the PC after driver updates, reinstalling, or verifying files.
    • Make sure Windows is fully updated.
