Bug Report - Stuck at initial load screen (animation freezes)
The game is getting stuck right after I launch it. It goes into the main loading screen right before the PlayStation animation, but the animation with the green squares just stops immediately after it shows up. My task manager isn’t telling me the game isn’t responding or is timing out, it’s just getting stuck at launch and sitting there. I’ve tried so many troubleshooting steps it’s not even funny. This is the second time this has happened and I’ve not be able to fix it this time. I’ve:
-restarted my router
-restarted my PC
-updated my graphics drivers
-checked required specs (I’ve got 200+ hours logged in the game. This is not an issue but I checked anyways)
-did a full uninstall and reinstall of the game
-verified file integrity in steam
-run in admin mode
-disabled steam overlay
-made sure no other apps were running when trying to launch
Please fix this issue. It’s the only game I have this problem with. And like I said, I’ve got over 200 hours logged in the game. This shouldn’t be happening. It was running absolutely fine yesterday, and now today it does this. What else could I possibly do to fix this on my end? I know for certain relocating the game to another drive won’t fix it because like I said, I was just playing this game yesterday. My hardware is fine.

No error codes are thrown. No specific change beforehand. All that happened was I shut down my PC the night before after playing the game for a while, and then turned it back on the following day and launched the game, and that’s when it got hung up at the initialization screen. I didn’t open any other apps I don’t usually have open, no significant updates were made, all my drivers were already up to date, nothing had crashed beforehand. I just tried starting the game as I usually do, that’s all.
Literally the only thing I’ve not tried at this point is upgrading to Windows 11. But even so, that shouldn’t matter because the game has been running fine on Windows 10 ever since I downloaded it
